I cant imagine a world without this app. I use this daily. I also use the music streamer app which does such a great job of managing music for my family. So flexible and convenient.

Love this app and I depend on it. But I installed IOS 10 and photos and screen shots created today, dont appear in FileBrowser, although all old images still appear. This means I cant copy them to Windows. Also, I couldnt find a place on your support website to raise this issue.

I have an external HD connected to my AirPort router. This is the perfect tool for accessing and streaming the media!

on the media controls screen, please swap "back" button with "edit", so that "back" is on the left side, consistent with the "back" on the file browsing screens. also, thanks for fixing the video streaming bug, i can finally give this 5-stars and recommend the app to friends now!

It is a must have App..!!!

File browser is perfect for accessing shared network resources. It is light weight. It is the perfect hand held client for managing storage supports the major authentication and storage protocols. I primarily use it to access samba shares but it can also assist with managing local files as well. I tried a couple other file manager apps and was not impressed. This app allows me to access and manipulate files and storage locations and also contains a media player for centralized media management. Perfect app for for my needs.

Very useful sharing files between devices (iOS, WinXP, 7, Mac...) in a local network.

The latest update makes it useless. Garbage. Pointless. Having paid for this app, Id really love if they hadnt ruined it. App is of absolutely no use. Will not play videos, will not open files, will not DO ANYTHING. Can I get a refund? Well, no. But theyve "upgraded" the app to be useless. So yay us!

I have to give credit where credit is due. Ive owned this app since iOS 5, and I still have not out grown it. There are only a handful of apps that end up on each new iPhone, and this is one of them. Not only has this been the best bang for your buck app (considering Ive had this for about 5 years). Now, I do own a nice NAS device whos apps exist in the App Store. Considering that I store my pictures, movies, and music on my NAS, I need an app if I want to view a movie on my phone or broadcast cast music to the home theater system. While I still own the app for this NAS device (great app and great hardware), I still find myself using FileBrowser instead. It has a nicer interface when playing music, unlike the other app that uses the built-in QuickTime viewer (or whatever the hell Apple calls their native video player). This app may not allow me to punch a hole in my network as easy as this other app, but I dont want that feature. I prefer security through not enabling the hole rather than security through obscurity. Also, Ive had better luck with codecs in this app over many other video player apps in the store. A wider range of codec compatibility means less of a need to convert your files. That is pretty important to me. Finally, they have added connectivity to cloud storage. I have an Office 365 account with 1 TB of storage! I can effectively toggle between cloud and home NAS, and have them in sync (granted that is not a feature of the app, but the NAS). I dont often take the time to review an app or even update my review, but 5 years in, it is 5 stars in my book. Thanks for keeping this updated over the years! Best file system browsing app on the iPhone hands down.

This app is one of the best apps on the App Store, and is by far the best network file manager. Its also the best way to access media over your local network, though it doesnt support UPnP/DLNA, but thats strictly a media protocol while this app is a file manager; regardless, I have not found a DLNA media player that works as well for playing network media on iOS. The sftp support that was added relatively recently is fantastic for people who know what theyre doing; its also not too difficult for the layman with patience and some HOWTOs. It also makes it possible to use the app over the Internet outside your local network.

What a great product!!! Perfect tool to collaborate date between different devices. I use FIlebrowser to centralize all my videos and pictures, then stream to TVs via chrome cast. Product is stable, feature rich, SIMPLE to use, and overall no hassle. I definitely recommend.

Was looking for a way to connect my hd thats connected to my AirPort Extreme. This works great!

You can access files - but what if you want to put them in Dropbox? Or move a document to the pages app, or another word processor. I am mystified why what is not possible with this app - it undercuts its usefulness.

My desktop is upstairs, Im usually downstairs with my iPad or iPhone. This app simply works. I can get at my files, its easy to use, trust me and buy it.

The best file management software for "i" devices.

Must Have for NAS users ! No Complains !!

This is an extremely advanced app thats also very easy to use that has features that are nothing less than fantastic. In one app you can connect to multiple devices/computers all at the same time and do the tasks you want to among them. Its simply does work. I use it to connect with my MacBook and also my 200 gig SanDisk Connect wireless stick at the same time, as one example. And on top of that the company has been bringing in periodic updates that even make it better since 2013.
